‘RANG’ winter-festive collection by Swati Vijaivargie Jain (2)

 

 Recently she participated in Lakme Fashion Week W/F 2012 as a Talent Box Designer where she showcased the vibrant collection ‘Rang’ inspired by the aura of nature and vibrant pink city.

 

A thread resist shibori collection inspired by the aura of nature and vibrant pink city. A collection that unfolds with every stitch opened. A play of colours, textures with motifs from Indian art and culture.


 

The trendy shibori features designs that are quintessentially Indian. They include vibrant peacocks, lovely parrots, bulbuls, serene lotus and portly ganesha that add a twist of contemporary quirk, across rich silks, georgettes, crepes and chiffons in lively pinks, blues, greens, yellows and purples.



The collection comprises of dresses, jackets, stoles, scarves, tunics, sarees, kurtas, ghagras and odna.


















About Swati Vijaivargie Jain:


Swati Vijaivargie Jain belongs to Jaipur, Rajasthan. After completing her graduation from NIFT, Gandhinagar in 2000, Swati interned and worked in the fashion industry for two years with leading designers like Raghuvendra Rathore and Kavita Bhartiya before joining her family business of home textiles and rugs. She has received the Best Women entrepreneur award from FORHEX (federation of Rajasthan handicrafts exporters) in the year 2006.




In the year 2010, she started her own clothing line for women by the name “Swati Vijaivargie Jain”. As the name suggests, she loves playing with color in her designs.

Swati  creates her own textiles. She specialises in thread resist shibori and creating surface textures using different tie and dye and embroidery techniques in rich pure fabrics to make clean cut, minimalistic garments with a fresh look and international appeal for today’s women.



Her brand retails with some of the best stores in India like Ogaan, Fuel, Mélange, Amara, Anonym , Nautanky , Atosa, Dressing Room .







Her designs in textiles have been acknowledged and appreciated in the international fairs like Heimtextil, Frankfurt, domotex hannover and Indian fairs like Indian handicrafts and gifts fair.
